This is a simple site introducing me, Jamie Andrews.
I run Loco2 with my sister Kate and a great and growing team. We're based in Shoreditch, London. My role at Loco2 is mainly about leading product development, but also financial planning/raising investment when necessary. I also dabble with the front-end code (HAML/SASS).
When I get time I blog about whatever pops into my head over here. You can also follow me on Twitter.
I've recently written a guest post for Wired about European rail data. and another one about Googlemaps adding UK train routes.
I definitely didn't have anything to do with this spoof Financial Times website.
From 2008 to 2010 I worked in a business development role at AMEE.
From 2007 to 2008 I worked at Torchbox project-managing The Carbon Account.
Before working for Torchbox, I worked at a clean energy technology incubator, and managed a European Commission renewable energy project.
I've written various articles for The Ecologist: my most recent article (published May 2010) was about open source approaches to tackling climate change. I've also written an an article about Carbon Rationing Action Groups, and one on about personal carbon trading. You can read an extended (more policy-focused) version of the personal carbon trading artilce here.
I've appeared as an expert on carbon in Q Music Magazine, where I helped them calculate the footprint of three artists' tours
I have a BA in History from the University of Sheffield and I like utilising the analytical skills I learnt during my degree.
